Hockey looks very hard to play but why is it so boring to watch and not entertaining like the NBA?

On TV the boring-ness of hockey is because the scoring in hockey is so seldom and random. Hockey scoring is sort of like a random pin ball machine. Hockey is not a progressive fight territory like in football. In person,profession all hockey is better to watch than professional basketball. Baseball is boring but golf is the all time worst to watch. Archery and chess (both of which I do) are of course so boring that they are never televised.
