Get blue wearing my jeans?

yesterday i bought brand new carhartt jeans. They'r colour is blue, and when i got home froms school today my entire lower body was blue, so i was wondering if it might be because they are sort of dark blue. does anyone of you know why my socks and me thighs and calf are blue?
